Webinar: From Challenges to Change – Youth as Solution Makers in Southeast Europe 

On 21 May 2026, the webinar From Challenges to Change – Youth as Solution Makers in Southeast Europe brought together participants from across the region for an engaging discussion on the social, economic and political challenges affecting young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, as well as the ways in which youth continue to drive positive change within their communities.

The webinar created an interactive space for dialogue, exchange and reflection, highlighting the important role young people play in addressing regional challenges through activism, community engagement, advocacy and innovative local initiatives. Participants had the opportunity to hear directly from youth engaged in creating solutions and strengthening opportunities for a more sustainable and inclusive future in Southeast Europe.

A particular highlight of the event were the insightful and impactful presentations delivered by youth participants and members involved in regional initiatives and advocacy efforts. Through personal experiences, practical examples and critical reflections, speakers demonstrated how young people are actively shaping civic space and contributing to social change despite ongoing challenges in the region. The discussion also encouraged exchange between participants, fostering meaningful conversations on youth participation, regional cooperation and the importance of creating platforms where young voices can contribute to policy discussions and community development.

The successful implementation of the webinar reaffirmed the importance of supporting youth-led dialogue and initiatives across Southeast Europe, while further strengthening connections between young people, practitioners and regional partners committed to social change and democratic participation.
