ERMA students create a practical guide to the residence permit process in Bosnia and Herzegovina for incoming students

Moving to a new country comes with its share of administrative hurdles — and navigating the residence permit process in Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the first real challenges facing incoming ERMA students from abroad.

To make this easier for future cohorts, a group of current ERMA students has put together a hands-on, step-by-step guide based on their own firsthand experiences settling in Sarajevo. The resource is designed to cut through the uncertainty and address the practical questions that often arise when making the transition to life in BiH.

The guide walks readers through each stage of the process, drawing on real cases and the lessons learned along the way — the kind of knowledge that is rarely found in official documentation alone.
