Call for ERMA Alumni Network Board Members

The ERMA Alumni Network (EAN) is launching a Call for Board Members (4 positions) and invites all alumni to apply by 19 October 2025. 

Background

The first EAN Board (2023–2025) successfully completed its mandate, establishing governance structures and initiating key alumni activities. Building on this foundation, EAN is now opening its second board cycle (2025–2028).

The new Board will guide the network for the next three years, ensuring stronger alumni connections, greater visibility, and sustainable development of the alumni community.

Strategic Priorities (2025–2028)

  1. Alumni Engagement: Strengthen connections with alumni through tailored activities and inclusive opportunities.
  2. Awareness Raising: Enhance EAN’s visibility and promote alumni achievements and human rights initiatives.
  3. Research and Publications: Support alumni-led research and facilitate knowledge sharing.
  4. GC & GCA Involvement and Partnerships: Deepen collaboration with the Global Campus and build external partnerships.
  5. Networking and Opportunities Sharing: Create spaces and tools for alumni to exchange opportunities and collaborate.
  6. Organizational Development: Improve governance, fundraising, and operational systems to ensure network`s sustainability.

Responsibilities of the EAN Board

Board members will:

  • Provide strategic direction for EAN and ensure activities align with the six priorities.
  • Strengthen alumni engagement by fostering inclusive participation and maintaining regular communication with the network.
  • Enhance EAN’s visibility and outreach, including communication through alumni channels and public representation.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, research, and knowledge sharing among alumni.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships within the Global Campus of Human Rights, as well as with external stakeholders.
  • Support professional networking and opportunity-sharing within the alumni community.
  • Contribute to organizational growth, including governance, sustainability, and long-term planning.

Desired Skills & Qualities

  • Strong communication and outreach skills (online/offline).
  • Experience in community engagement, alumni networking, or event organization.
  • Ability to coordinate and support initiatives that promote alumni participation and visibility.
  • Interest in advancing human rights and promoting alumni achievements.
  • Willingness to dedicate 3-4 hours per week (average).
  • Proactiveness and enthusiasm to serve as an ambassador for EAN and ERMA.

Remuneration: 

The EAN Board Members will receive an honorarium of €400 (gross) per academic year.
