Overview
The European Regional Master’s Programme in Democracy and Human Rights (ERMA), part of the Global Campus of Human Rights, invites submissions for research papers focusing on the multifaceted issue of cyberbullying and its impact on children’s mental health. This initiative aims to foster regional collaboration and knowledge sharing among researchers, educators, and practitioners in the field and the region of Southeast Europe. The project was developed by the members of the Global Campus Child Leadership Team for Southeast Europe. The children of the CLT are active participants in every project stage, including the topic proposal, selection, and reviews of abstracts.
Research Support Grants
We are pleased to offer five research support grants of €1,000 each for selected abstracts of papers. Selected authors are expected to write a paper of 4000 – 4500 words without the bibliography, and each paper will be submitted to an editing cycle, as well as a reviewing process.
This funding aims to enhance research and academic capacity in children’s rights, specifically regarding cyberbullying and mental health in the Southeast Europe region, as well as enhance and mainstream child participation.
Publication Goals
The papers will contribute to a publication focused on the region of Southeast Europe aimed at disseminating knowledge, insights, and best practices related to the prevention and mitigation of cyberbullying among children. This publication will serve as a vital resource for stakeholders in the region, as well as the core material for regional capacity-building seminars and educational workshops for educators. Lastly, the publication aims to promote child participation as an integral component of the Global Campus’ efforts in promoting children’s rights through the GC CLT.
Submission Guidelines
– Language: All abstracts must be written in English.
– Design: The topic should cover at least one of the countries in the Southeast Europe region.
– Child-friendly element: In addition to the original abstract, the authors need to submit the abstract written in a child-friendly manner. As mentioned, the children of the CLT will be an integral part of the selection process and it is crucial to provide child-friendly materials.
– Research fields: human rights, social work, child psychology, pedagogy, law, and public policy.
