Professor Melika Husić-Mehmedović
Director of the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies
Professor Melika Husić-Mehmedović holds a PhD from the School of Economics and Business Sarajevo (AACSB and EPAS/EFMD accredited) on the topic “Lifestyle and Luxury Consumption”. She obtained master degree in business administration (MBA – Master of Business Administration) at the Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb with thesis “Influence of social status factors and consumption of luxury products.” She has published papers in most prestige business journals, five books in Bosnian and English language and over 30 international conference papers.
She has improved experience through schools, seminars and workshops designed throughout the world, and spent one semester at George Washington University in the US as a visiting scholar. Melika participated in numerous consulting services for leading BH companies, in the field of marketing and strategic planning and communication activities. She was a Marketing Manager at the Independent News Agency ONASA Sarajevo in the period 2002-2005 and a Public Relations Officer at the School of Economics and Business in Sarajevo in the period 2005-2008. Finally, she was a Vice Dean for Academic Affairs from 2009 to 2012. She was appointed as director of Center for Interdisciplinary Studies, University of Sarajevo in 2017.
Coordinator of the ERMA Master Programme
Mariana Hadžijusufović is the coordinator of the Master programme ERMA and coordinator of the administrative and financial unit. Previously she worked as legal councillor on refugee issues in the Legal Clinic (UNHCR BO Chisinau) and as ERMA academic tutor. Mariana holds an international law degree from the State University of Moldova and is an alumna of the ERMA programme class of 2002/03.
Coordinator of the Master program European Studies and the Master program Management of State and NGO
Maida Omanovic is the coordinator of the Master program European Studies and the Master program Management of State and NGOs. She has been working in the Center for interdisciplinary studies since 2001. She holds a master degree in Quality Management – a joint master program of the School of Economics and Business of the University of Sarajevo and the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zagreb. Alumna of the School of Economics and Business of the University of Sarajevo.
Ms. Mileva Piralić graduated at the Faculty of Organizational Siences in Belgrade. Mileva has been Finance assistant-accountant of the University of Sarajevo, since 2007. Previously she worked as a Finance Officer at the Mechanical Faculty of Sarajevo from 1990 to 1992, and as a Finance Assistant in the International Rescue Committee-New York in Bosnia and Hercegovina in the period of 1996 to 2006.
Educational programmes assistant
Alina Trkulja is an alumna of the ERMA programme class of 2010/11. She defended her thesis on Human rights education Cum Laudae. Alina also graduated Comparative Literature and Art History at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Sarajevo in 2010. She is particularly interested in education, art, activism and social movements, social justice and transitional justice, as well as the role of human rights in these processes. She is an ERMA academic tutor since 2011/12.
Educational programmes assistant
Marjan Icoski is an ERMA alumnus class of 2014/2015 graduating cum laudae from the Programme. He is part of ERMA since 2016, first working as a project assistant through the Global Campus of Human Rights Internship Programme and currently as an academic tutor. Previously, Marjan obtained a BA in Law and LL.M in Civil Law and Civil Procedure from Iustinianus Primus Faculty of Law in Skopje. His field of interests are international human rights law and European integration with focus on the Western Balkan Region.
